THE INVINCIBLE ISLAND - MURUD JANJIRA

Hey Guys !!! once again we are back with some knowledge and some history in todays blog update. There is a fort in Maharashtra which is known as sea fort can you guys know the name of the fort..? I guess all of them know the name of this fort.

The sea fort is located on an island off the coast of Murud, a village about five hours from both Mumbai and Pune. The only way to approach it is by boat, but the trip is worth it for the architectural wonders waiting within. Once considered one of India’s strongest marine forts, it remained unconquered for hundreds of years, lasting through onslaughts by great military leaders such as the Peshwas and Shivaji. A doorway to the west called the 'Darya Darwaza' opens into the sea and was probably used as an emergency escape back in the days.This mighty fortification towers up from a massive rock amidst the stretching azure of the Arabian Sea.

The sunset from the fort was so amazing and it was feeling peaceful after exploring all the near by spots and doing water activities on the beaches.

After watching the beautiful sunset we travelled to Mumbai with lots of memories.Some times we just thought that the time should stop for sometime at some place and believe me while watching the sunset i felt that.....
